Artemis Racing, Challenger of Record for the 34th America's Cup
As part of the Artemis Racing design team, Cape Horn Engineering runs all of the team's CFD. CHE's hydrodynamic and aerodynamic simulations are used for AC45 and AC72 hull, appendage, wing, and soft sail designs.
Due to the confidence in Cape Horn Engineering's CFD result quality, gained during previous years and projects, no towing tanks or wind tunnel tests will be run.

Teams Telefónica, PUMA and Groupama, Volvo Ocean Race 2011/12
Following the win of the last two editions of the Volvo Ocean Race in 2005/06 and 2008/09, Juan Yacht Design, led by designer Juan Kouyoumdjian, and Cape Horn Engineering have joined forces on three new designs for the current edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. Cape Horn Engineering is the sole CFD provider for these campaigns, running both the hydrodynamic and aerodynamic CFD programs.

Puma Ocean Racing
Groupama Sailing Team
Team Origin, Challenger for the 33rd America's Cup
Cape Horn Engineering was the sole CFD provider for this campaign, running both the hydrodynamic and aerodynamic CFD program. The Team Origin design team, headed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, relied entirely on our simulations.

Ericsson Racing Team, 2008/09 Volvo Ocean Race
Cape Horn Engineering performed all of the CFD for this campaign. Following his success in the 2005/06 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race, Juan Kouyoumdjian was the lead designer for this 2 boat program. This campaign design team relied exclusively on our aerodynamic and hydrodynamic simulations, with no need for towing tank tests.

TEAM ABN AMRO, 2005/6 Volvo Ocean Race
During 2004 and 2005, Rodrigo Azcueta was in charge of the hydrodynamic CFD for the campaign's 2 boats entered in the race. ABN Amro One won the overall race victory, while ABN Amro Two broke the world 24 hour distance record. Juan Kouyoumdjian was the lead designer.
BMW Oracle Racing Team, 32nd Americas Cup Challenger
From December 2003 to May 2007 Rodrigo Azcueta ran the main hydrodynamic CFD design effort for this challenger. The focus was on hull and appendage performance, mostly using free surface simulations. Extensive validation of the numerical methods was done during this period.

Speedboat, One-Off record breaker
Designed by Juan Yacht Design, this 100 foot, water ballasted canting keel speedster is up to break many records. CHE provided hydrodynamic CFD for this project.
Pindar, IMOCA Open 60
CHE was in charge of the complete hull and appendage CFD design program, no towing tank tests were used. Pindar is the first Open 60 from the Juan Yacht Design office.
Olympic Class Star boat
Design by Juan Kouyoumdjian, build by Mader in Germany, hull and appendage performance analysis by CHE, 2008.
Karver K650
Karver K650 one design sport boat from the Juan Yacht Design office. Hydrodynamic performace analysis and VPP coefficients by CHE.
